Nafiz holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of the West of England along with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Delhi, India.

Nafiz is a founding partner of QVL Advisory and has over seven years’ experience in the field. Nafiz has worked in Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) as a tax auditor for over five years, where he held various positions including being the Head of Medium Corporate Audit Section and Micro Corporate Audit Section. After leaving MIRA, he has worked for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as a Financial Management and Monitoring Consultant based in the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of Maldives supporting the Ministry in carrying out the financial and project management of all ADB financed projects within the Maldives. He has also experience in public debt management and has worked previously in the Debt Management Division of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury as well.
