Hameed is a Chartered Certified Accountant and is a fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives and is also an associate member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA. He is also licensed auditor registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives.

Hameed is one of the founding partners of QVL Advisory and has over eight years’ experience in the field. He has worked over five years as a tax auditor at Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) and held various positions there including being the Head of Medium Corporate Audit Section. After leaving the MIRA, he has worked at Mauritius Commercial Bank (Maldives) Pvt Ltd for over three years, where he headed the Internal Audit function. He has also been providing tax consultancy service as a freelance tax consultant while working at the Bank.
